This was a very complicated extraction of an existing boiler. The existing boiler was a brick plenum chamber which had an asbestos lining. It was carefully taken down by asbestos removal specialists and then the floor had to be levelled, raised and filled.
The existing boiler was taken out and a new air handling plant was installed with its own boiler connected to the existing duct work feeding the church. The return air incorporated heat recovery and all the controls were located in the vicarage.
All work was carried out with minor disruptions to the church and vicarage and completed within the time frame.
