A very complicated installation to de-centralise the existing steam generating plant that required detailed complex planning to retain all existing heating, hot & cold water and gas services to this hospital and day-care centre.
This involved the creation of 3 large independent LTHW plant rooms comprising of modular boilers and new flues, associated control panels linked to BMS, pumps, motorised valves etc.
The work was further complicated by asbestos removal and the fact that a number of services were almost untraceable. Before any removal, adaptation or interception could take place numerous investigative exercises had to be carried out to avoid inadvertent disruptions to the hospitals operations.
In support of our works we had 3 large portable gas boilers and freezer based lorries working throughout this process. The entire contract was completed within 15 weeks.
